Unlike traditional music lessons, my courses and workshops don’t just teach you to play music, they help you release blocked creative expression.

In other words: why learn to just play piano when you can also learn how to connect your mind, body, and spirit?

“Over the last several years, Bella has taught both our daughters, as well as my husband and myself guitar, piano, and voice. Bella is extremely intuitive. She is hip and relaxed, laughing easily and bringing joy to every lesson. Bella constantly uses her creativity to find ways to inspire us. Bella as added an entirely new dimension to our lives and we will be forever grateful for her gifts of music”

— Michelle Marks,
Interior Designer, Los Angeles

“Bella has been more than a teacher to me. I usually get very uncomfortable when being taught. I worry about my performance and have trouble comfortably making mistakes. Bella has a way of bypassing all of that. The music we learn is music that inspires me as an artist and human, it speaks specifically to my needs and style of learning. That way, it doesn’t feel like I’m being taught. It feels like a conversation. She’s just one of the warmest people I know. It’s hard to not feel at ease.”

— Rotana Tarabzouni,
Saudi-American Pop Star

“Bella is such a treasure of a music teacher ... my boys have been taking piano from her for almost 3 years and their skills are growing by leaps and bounds. She keeps the lessons fun with plenty of games and silliness, but also lays out clear practice expectations. Bella is the best; there is none higher.”

— Ted Mulkerin,
Screenwriter and Producer

I know that my approach to music instruction is probably not what you’re used to seeing, so let me tell you why you can feel confident working with me ...

Once upon a time, I started as a music student just like you.

Although I was blessed with a bit of natural talent, I still had to learn how to read and play music. Unfortunately, my teachers were not at all patient, and I realized at an early age that there was a disconnect between music education and personal expression through music.

What I learned in the music classroom was this: there was no room for error. Not surprisingly, this created a stressful environment for music learning.

I have spent the last two decades undoing the cycle of toxic music instruction, and I’ve learned the art of patient, empathy-driven teaching. The missing piece in most music education is the innate abilities we are all born with to create music.

My dream is to teach anyone who has a strong desire to learn music, but is intimidated by the traditional environment of music learning. I bridge the gap between the classical world and the holistic world.

You’re perfect for this if:

  • You have always wanted to learn how to play piano, but have held off because of fear or intimidation

  • You want a greater sense of well-being and emotional regulation

  • You want to explore your own creative expression and altered states of consciousness

    through music and sound

  • You have access to a piano or keyboard

  • You are willing to venture out of your comfort zone to experience creative bliss

  • You can commit the time, intention, and focus to developing and expanding your natural

    talents
